PROFILE
Yumiko Glover received a BFA in painting in 2011 from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
Glover's work has been influenced by social issues whereby examines sexuality, focusing on separate viewpoints between male and female in a specific social phenomenon and the impact that they have in our daily lives.
Glover's work was published as a winner in Fine Art of Creative Quarterly - the Journal of Art & Design by 3x3 Publishing in New York (Issue 25, 2012). She is also a recipient of the 1st Place in Two Dimensional category at the 33rd Annual Commitment to Excellence Art Exhibition (2011), Best of Show at the Windward Artists Guild 51st Annual Juried Open Exhbition (2011), and Outstanding Student Award in Painting (2010-2011) at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
Glover has exhibited in various locations such as Lucky Belly, the Contemporary Cafe at The Contemporary Museum, the Mezzanine Gallery in Pauahi Tower in Honolulu, University of Hawai'i Art Gallery, Honolulu Museum of Art School, and the Web Gallery at ABC, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
She currently lives and works in Honolulu, Hawai'i.
